Dr Graham Fraser is a medical epidemiologist and public health specialist from the UK (studied medicine and specialty trained in New Zealand)He was one of the Regional Epidemiologists for London for nearly ten years before moving to the European Centre for Communicable Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Stockholm in 2010.<br>At ECDC he is a senior expert in health systems and preparedness and works with ECDC’s team supporting EU member states to strengthen their systems for preparedness against threats from communicable diseases. He leads work on technical development of methods for evaluating country communicable disease surveillance and control systems, and also works with ECDC’s international section reviewing and supporting systems in the EU enlargement countries.
